ok ppl after realising that my subs are way too powerful ive bought i set of components, that i plan on running off a little 500 watt amp i have layin around.
my question is...... i have took out the old front speakers, and these new component speaker don't fit into the metal hole, even tho it is a 13cm speaker, so how do i fit em???? im a little stuck on this one and i would like the job completed by tomoz, so as always n e help apprichiated!!!!

they dont fit in what way mate?
sounds like a quick mdf ring would solve it though

well when i try to push em in theres something stoppin em from goin all the way so they end up sitting about 1 inch away from the mounting holes, which then in turn stops the little plastic cover goin bak on (which i will prolly have to replace now coz i hav hacked it apart)
i did notice theres a lump of plastic inside the door for the ellecy windows, is this the reason??

it might be, they sound very deep the speaker? an mdf ring would sort you there

and theyre def the right size speakers? they should fit straight in

you can get 13cm speakers that are way to deep for the recess. think its usually when they have a built in crossover on the back of the speakers.
like Scott says - mdf spacer ring should sort it out for ya mate.

cheers guys ive sorted it out now, ill put some pics up tomoz, but it is very bodged atm, until i cover them over with some sort of fabric.
i think the problem was deph and the fact that i think they must have been 13.1cm, lol!!!
