sneaky is good at making front door pods! lol
Show cage is a cool idea! I was contemplating a while ago but dont think I can fit one now lol...
Def Mango on the cage!
Who is retrimming your car then? Im presuming a friend? for that sort of money!
I dont have anything to retrim now :(, done the back end and im doing the front doors myself and dont have any back bench to retrim, and the seats are going soon too... gutted! lol
That Acrylic worded okay for the install then?
EDIT: Might be making some new more extreme front door pods soon so I just might have some for sale... but not sure yet.

The pods you have point the speakers in the right direction and is enough for the rear! if you put any more speakers in the back it would be like going to a concert and facing away from the stage.
Im considering moving both sets of my comps to the front doors and having 2 ways in the rear so that there isnt much sound in the back.
Will let you know if I go ahead and make the new ones!

right after thinking long and hard about a vts conversion and decided its going to be a no go. i had a long convo wit me dad after talking about it ne we decided its not the rought for me.
i have been thinking for ages about somethin unique for my car as i want it to stand out from the rest (strange saying that as it is mango lol)
so i am going to turbo :) my 1.4 furio engine and before anyone says save money and put avts in instead NO i want to be DIFFERENT. not many furios have been turbo'd so i want to be one of the few that jump in at the deep end.
it wont actually be a turbo until this time next year most prob as i wont be able to by parts till after xmass due to going to america for 3 weeks in november so my money this year is all taken up realy. so will slowly buy bits after.
im not 100% sure what parts i am going to buy yet but think i will start with basic turbo conversion to start with. so if anyone who has turbo'd or turboing there saxo etc would love you to pm me n give me a bit of advice.

exactly, would much rather do the turbo than a vts conversion feels as if you get more out of it if you get what i mean. more rewarding.

well any kind of engine conversion is rewarding i think, but defiantely try something new and exciting!

Looks great mate, fair play. Sounds good on the turbo front too. Gotta ask though have you properly researched it? Its a massive strain on the drivetrain, youll pop gearboxes shafts and clutches in no time.
Not a massively difficult job in terms of labour though, just need to get decent components made which fit properly and perform as they should and youll be fine. Ill deffo keep an eye on this

i have been reading alot the past couple weeks about doing the turbo but there is one thing that is REALY STARTING to put me doing it is that they dont last very long before having to pump more mony into them for re-build. i spoke to my machanic on friday and he has also said to me that IF i am going to do it that it aint gonna last long :(:(

I think differently to everyone else tbh, I dont think you should get rid of the Mango Sax!
If you want a faster engine then buy a VTR lump and fit it to the Mango! would be a shame to see it go to be honest and they are quite rare!
You would be one of few people with a VTR mango! dont know anyone off the top of my head with one!
Sorry the mango has grown on me!

I did say that you could have them before Sarke and I told Sarke to contact you first to see if you wanted them, did he get in contact?
Would need to arrange for you to come and see if you want them (trial fit) soon though if you still want them!
The horn... all you do is probe the wiring coming from the left hand stalk when you find the horn one, cut the wire and connect it to the wire in the middle of the steering wheel, will take about 30 mins max I should hope

Very similar to my gold vtr same rims, darkened lights, black angels etc my only suggestion to you is maybe get some rota slipstreams or dynamics pro race 3's and get the rear smoothed...
Lippy
7th August 2009, 22:37
small number plate recess and small number plate might be a better idea rather than smoothed after all smoothed has been done to death now!
I only did it as I saw one pre done... well sort of

where would you be putting the number plate afterwards? tbh imo its a bit of a waste of time poss, unless your gonna do something funky with the space?
Did you get a flame beater fire ext? ive got a pretty blue one of those were on Ebay a couple of years ago for £14

looks impractical and i bet you would lose traction on the road if you go too fast round a corner and hit a bump???
Looks nice though!
Maybe you should consider hydrolics or something?

small and effective :y:
