hi guys
it seems there are a lot of us looking for the heater relay, I was given part no 55666 HJ this is a small black relay and i have looked above the fuse box on the passenger side and cannot see a black relay. All the relays seem to be colour coded for the plug in. The workshop manual shows a relay in the circuit, but I cant find it anywhere. The colour code relays are not identified as to there purpose either. Has any Saxo mechanic out there ever changed one ?. Does it in fact have a relay ? Main Citroen dealer in Hemel Hempstead said it doesnt have one !!!, Hatfied Citroen want £61.00 to change it but wont say where its located.I put a live wire in from a live feed to the live into the switch and the blower works on all speeds , my concern is that this may either burn out the wiring or the switch, cananyone say where this relay is located (if there is One ):wall:

Has anyone found this elusive heater relay? Tracing the wiring there should be 12v to the heater blower control knob but there isn't. Fuse F2 which feeds the relay contact is fine and the switch on the steering is good and there is 12v at it. My assumption is that the relay is knackered but I cannot find it.
I have replacement ready to go but cannot find the relay.
Anyone????

More like it's the heater resistor on the heater blower that needs changing.

I'm not sure how the resistor on the heater blower affects the system......
.....I have 12 volts going to the heater relay contact which when closed feeds the control knob on the centre console, but there is no voltage at the control knob?

Does the heater not work on any speed settings?

None at all, completely dead. I'm thinking of taking the dash apart to have a look for this elusive relay but I might as well check out the heater blower unit at the same time.

its not behind the dash, it'll be in the fusebox.

There are only a couple of relays in the fuse-box and it is not one of them. I think from memory there is one for the indicators, one for the rear heated window and the other is for.........err can't remember.... but certainly nothing to do with the heating system.
