OK, so for those of you who don't know, my Saxo is a write-off. My mate pulled out in front of me ...to cut a long story short he's being an arse and is saying I was on the wrong side of the road :rage: Even the policeman at the scene is going to write a statement in my favour coz what I've said is the truth ...anyway, getting distracted.
I've been offered a payout of £900. Not a bad price tbh but I feel it could be a bit better. I've found some similar cars on ebay, autotrader etc for around £1200-ish and I'm going to send those, plus some pics of my car (as you know it was well looked after etc) ...is there anything else I could do? I was trying to look for a pic of a clean engine bay (1.1) as I had cleaned mine but didn't get any pics :n: ...didn't know if that would help. Any ideas or anyone with experience along these lines?

Generally insurance will only pay out what they see fit or book value you of car. Whether in good condition or not.

Imo you wont get them to increase the payout price offered.

Reject the offer stating the reasons why, exceptional condition etc. They SHOULD come up with a few extra £100s.

Adding to Vidal's comments: in your letter of rejection, also include copies of adverts of cars, similar to yours, at the higher value.
