Sorry if its a stupid question.. i know hardly anything about the mechanical side of cars. But After trying to get my exhaust to stop rattling off the heat shield useing some cable ties. Iv noticed after reving it a little it has pulled though some oil into the exhaust system and is smoking...
Just abit worried it might lead onto something serious? Is there anything I should be checking etc..?
Thanks Matty.

if u have spilled oil onto the exhaust system, the smoke is just the oil burning on the hot exhaust, shouldnt be a problem

Its white smoke.. I ran the car for abit and it's all seems to have evaporated now.. Gunna check the manifold later on when its cooled down for any leeks around there.
Cable ties on the heat sheild might not be a good idea....
Its on the exhaust rubbers just holding it up abit more.. not actually on the heat shield.
Thanks for the help guys!.
