Megs gold class shampoo with a microfibre mitt and 2 bucket method to clean the car first of all. Clay bars are rated highly but I've never got around to using one personally, something on my list of things to do.

To make the paint look good and hide the swirls/ light scratches I've always used AG SRP followed by AG extra gloss protection. I've used these 2 on 3 different cars so far and it worked great on all of them. Good thing is that they're pretty cheap too.

Have a look at the detailing forum:

Just one thing,

The Lime Prime and The Super Resin Polish do basicly the same thing so they will cancel each other out. so just one will do fine!

Blue Velvet will make your car look stunning, the flake will stand out like nothing you've seen!! Its an amazing wax!

Megs Shampoo Plus is around £15 for a gallon so is better value for money than born to be mild, just something to think about.

You might want a nice wheel cleaner, bilberry is a good one, can be diluted and is safe on all types of wheels.

This shop : www.elitecarcare.co.uk Is great and when you spend over £60 you get free next day delivery!!

If ya want any more info i'm happy to help!

Nothing wrong with lime prime works so effectively with a dual action polisher on a polishing pad, if you want the one with no abrasives go for lime prime lite which in gives a nice gloss to the paint, also worth considering dodo juice need for speed which is an excellent all in one polish, buy off www.cleanyourcar.co.uk or www.elitecarcare.co.uk or www.seriousperformance.co.uk or www.polishedbliss.co.uk theres still better wax's out there than dodo but i stick to either dodo wax's, bilt hamber autobalm or blackfire. What sort of shine are you after? as i do loads of details etc, i'll put a picture up of a car i did in the same colour as yours to look at:y:

i want a mirror finsh like i said me being picky but theres a could of light scrtches in the paint and a couple of bigger ones that need to go - probably will be looking at respray or summat not sure.

i just want to be able to see the gradient of the metalic and the flakes :P

For a trim restorer and cleaner you cant go wrong with some Black WOW, its a little pricey but its very good stuff, if you want a lower price bracket try Poorboys Natural Look Dressing, this is great and can also be used for interior such as the dashboards, leather and out side plastic as well as tyres.

For an engine bay cleaner, any type of APC or a degreaser, the Megs ones are good, they come in gallons and all dilute in to the Megs spray bottles.
Or you could try Autoglym Engine and machine cleaner, mega stuff if you don't want to go to the prices of the Megs gallons!
