British Gas rant..

Is it just me or are British Gas idiots?

Pay it monthly on direct debit and last month they told us it had gone up to £92 a month from £45. This was down to the fact they had estimated our meter reading as nobody had been to read it.

So anyways, did the meter reading online and they told us it would now be £62 a month but we still had to pay £92 this month. I asked why and they gave me a load of crap about saving money for the winter?!!!

After checking our bill properly I noticed we are £184 in credit to them! I asked to pay the £92 from the money we have in credit and they said they wouldnt do it as we need to save that money for the winter months?!

So I told them I was switching to npower and slammed the phone down.

Sorry for the rant but man I'm angry. Its my £184 so why can't I use it?

Also had an amusing letter off an energy company who supply our electric.

First paragraph read " Our swalec team are always looking out for our customers during this financial struggle and we always aim to keep our prices low. For being a loyal customer we have enclosed 4 energy effiecent lightbulbs, which can cut the cost of £5 a light per year."

I was like thanks very much.

Last paragraph " This letter is written to inform you that our electricty prices will go up 33% from end of october"

My mums with british gas, theirs ass-oles!!!! she stayed with me whilst ill and her meter clocked down, run out and still carried on charging her for gas :wall:
she ended up owing the meter pure dollar!!!
Iv got damn pre-pay meters :n: £35wk in lecky and £25wk in gas!!!!

I turn all lights off tho, live in darkness ftw.

I had issues with British Gas when I had my own house – the direct debit is a bit of joke of how much they wanna raise it though.

When I left I got a bill for £178 (even though I was in credit by £5 when I left) and this bill was for 2 days usage! Ha!

I just ignored it.

a guy I work with got sacked from British Gas last week for telling a customer to F*&$ Off :)
He said he spent 3 hours on the phone to him and the guy was still shouting. So he got so annoyed and just shouted it and put the phone down HAHA :y:
