I have a 106 gti which im trying to sell. The only problem now is that the tax has run out, and as there is no insurance on the car i cannot buy tax. What would be the cheapest way to insure and quickly tax then uninsure the car?

Regards,

Liam

Why bother?

Sell it untaxed, knock the price of tax off the selling price.

Will cost you a fair bit to start a policy and then cancel it, and its not worth the hassle.

get your parents to put it on their policy and tax it, then take it off.

well i dont really want to sell it as SORN. TBH selling it with tax is another selling point.

get your parents to put it on their policy and tax it, then take it off.

But if they put it on their policy they wont be able to drive their car for a day or so untill the new certificate comes through and i can tax the 106?
