Argh, girlfriend bought me a mp3 (creative zen) back in june for my travels to uni (i commute every morning) and it hasnt left my side, seriously like the best present (it was thoughtful and a great gift) anywho... running for the train i broke it in my pocket (got crushed...) nothing else was in my pocket, just jeans and flesh.

Can't believe it's bust, still within the warranty period so has anyone dealth with them before? I'm just praying the missus still has the receit...

So 6 months later creative have got back to me(tbf I've been using an old mp3 the mrs. lended me till she found the receit, yes it has taken her this long to find it :p). Obviously creative stated that the mp3 was broken due to no fault of there own and if I was to send it to them it would be repaired at a cost. However this will be extortionate most likely.

So should I send it back to creative, or should I look for a backstreet fixer and get it repaired there??? Decisions. Decisions.

The Mp3 is a 4gb jobby and was worth £70 at the time, is it going to work out cheaper buying the same device brand new do we think?? (or will it be just a tenner in the backstreet place? Hmm) :geek:
