Rust!!

I found some rust on my saxo today, on the near-side and off-side front chassis box section. Ive attatched some photos.
Has anyone had this problem?
If so how did you solve it?
And also can you buy a replacement panel?

Ouch, when was your last MOT they should have picked this up. Dont think there are replacemnt panels for this. probably take it down your local garage and ask them to have a look

MOT was about 8 months ago, but i didnt own car then, it wasnt picked up because it was painted over and i wire brushed the pain and found this! Deffo will be an MOT failure if i dont get it sorted!

i don't know why it should cost a lot to be welded but as said it probably will, i have been a fabricator welder for more years than i care to remember. I think garageschargewell over the odds for welding because they don't really like doing it. And whats worse is thay are mechanics and not welders so they don't even know what they are doing. I know this don't really help you m8 but havea ask around maybe you will find a local welder who will do it for you for a drink. A while ago a garage quoted a mate of a mate's car £400 for welding it took me 3 hours to do it all for £100 i was chuffed and he was well chuffed
