My Euro White VTS, formally on Borbet As *new rims ordered!

Brief car history and my current project, this is a few post of another site rolled into one so its abit long!

i'll start with my 1st car:
me and a mate spent many many nights doing this lol
was fixed on gettin some dishes for it but never did lol then after a slight mishap i decided to go white, went terribly wrong as i rushed it, took 4 months for my borbets to get here, by then the car had heart failure!
sold all the bits and scrapped shell.

then i moved onto this:
bought as a chaved up wreck and spent a few weeks fettling it into what you see below. too limited to what i can do with it really as i dont wanna take away the whole 'rallye' feel, so its gotta go as i wanna get back on the euro wagon.

now i have this, saxo vts running 160, and i have a set of R1 tb's in the house to be fitted :)
currently i have wheels, mirrors and spoiler painted red and fancyed a rat bonnet, but out of daftness i fitted the borbets (with massive tyres) and now they are staying, im happy as long as the shell is how i want it a can chop and change panels/ bumpers as i progress with the project :) im going for a black, red and white theme, the same with the wheels as they have been neglected over time so polishing the outter lip would be spoilt by marks.

1.6 16v
Newman Ph3 cams
chipped and remapped
heatwrapped raceland 4-2-1 mani
supersprint exhaust (de-cat)
raceland enclosed induction kit (to be fitted)
yamaha r1 throttle bodies (to be fitted)
i need to get some sort of management too
is running 160.9bhp which i have on paper too, nice bonus :)
cant wait to get her on the road

now kitted up with coilovers and i have just renewed all the suspension/steering components on the front end, though i mite as well with it been off the road at the moment.

new centre cap bolts came today! got most of the stuff now like, trial fitted number plate just to see how it looks lol

bloody hell! didnt expect a big reaction like this lol im dead happy people like it, i hope to have it done within the next few weeks, fitted the gti-6 brakes and master cylinder at the weekend along with the linkages, so mechanicly its ready,. just few more bits to paint, i painted it myself in the end so im just taking my time, do peoples bits all the time but never painted a full car before so im reet nervous about how its gonna come out lol, the bay look immense in the flesh though, need to clean up the head to complete it though,

i signed up a while back lee just never used it coz i got the rallye.

either that or a retro or motorsport style.. omp or 2.5inch outwardly rolled hmmm...

the splitter was a git to fit, tiger sealed some brackets on and fitted the splitter to it with about 200 self tappers lol, i made sure it sat with the bumper shape as best as it could, i cant stand them jsut clagged on, ripped it off 3 times like on b-roads and speed humps lol used to catch EVERYWHERE!

i was after some schmidts but i have had a brain wave.. never seen em on a saxo so im ordering something different.

they are gonna look nice mate, they are the wheels i have been looking at, i have just been trying to find the hub adapters etc to fit as they are a 4x100. Im planning on getting them painted though. where did you get your adapters?

Reminds me of an old Beetle lol.

I'll reserve judgment on the choice of new wheels, till they're fitted. I half like them and half dont. Think the bolts just make the wheel too fussy imo.

i broke it for bit jamie, killed another gearbox, with it been quick and on 16s it meant i always had more practicality than the 14s so did give it some hammer when boys ion golf gtis redtop corsas tried to make a tit of me hahaha me wins!!! 1st gearbox died, fitted a 2nd hand unit, 3 synchros wanted replacing and the seals, replaced that box with a 55tho gti box, did the bearings and seals too, blew the diff up nailing a golf gti running 13psi :D i still won! haha

the gti will certainly go above and beyond the standards of the saxo.
got a few low key plans for this season and then i'll get cracked on with the bigger changes after shows! it'll be on a totally different level to the saxo :D
