if it knocked the tiny fuse box, have a look at the wire that bolts to the fusebox, may have come loose, happend on my VTS im sure the vtr will be the same as regards to the small fusebox
edit - also try pressing the red fuel cut off switch, you may have knocked that.

hey, thanks for getting bak to me , wouldnt be a black wires that goes to the fuse box would it?
i know it cant be anything major the impact on the fuse box was litteraly like me flicking it. dont want to pay a mobile mechanic 25 quid just to look at it, is there any sights you would recommend that i could look at. THANKS

yeah its a black wire that bolts to it, even if the bolt is slightly loose it could cause huge headaches, mine just needed tightening up, also check the red fuel cut off button, you never know mate.

yeah its turning over fine. ive just been reading some threads on another site seems saxos can be very problamatic, some even saying just get rid now cause it will cost you..whats your view on saxos.the vtr i just bought is an R reg had a 1.4 honda civic before it thats was very realible and never went wrong but i got the saxo for a bit off fun but already shits going wrong... im thinking i should get rid before it does me over.:geek:

that fuel cut off thing is on the passenger side strut it should have a red top to it, with what you have said its been hit and now its cut the fuel pump. put your finger on the red bit at the top in the centre then press it down you should feel it click then try your car. That fuel cut out, in a accident if heavy enough will trip the fuel pump to stop the chances of a fire breaking out.
As for the saxo reliability its the same with everything depends how it gets treated and serviced more than owt, by ive just bought a vtr mk2 of my mate and hes had it a year with no problems

Glad u sorted it. Saxos are great. Every one is different. Just dont drive it, and it wont break. lol! just kidding aslong as they are looked after and maintained properly they will go on forever
Yeah R. reg is mk1. the lights are more square than on the later mk2. Mk2 was from about 2000 I believe

you can give the pump a little bash with a hammer, this should keep it going for a while longer as the contacts inside get stuck over time:)
