my mate said to me the other night about this stuff.
he used a FULL bottle with a full tank of petrol as aposed to the recommended 1/2 a bottle per full tank.
he said it made his VTR fell sharper and run run better.
i think it might be something to do with it cleaning all the pipes and inturn giving the car more petrol quicker .
does anyone use it or know anything about it???

Some people think they get gains from it and others dont, I tested it on a friend when we went to cost put some in without him knowing on the way there, and then showed him i'd put some in a week later, asked him if his car felt different and because he knew i'd put some in he said yes.

Did nothing for him when he didnt know he had any in so i'll say no. Although sure you can get it for 99p on a tester from halfrauds.

When it says use 1/2 a bottle or a cap full or whatever thats what your meant to do!! If you but too much in it burns the injector valves iirc and do some pretty bad damage. I was told to go for something that you just stick the whole bottle in as you can't really go wrong!

i use Forte as we use it at work on every service, the orange is for the petrol

i have used a full bottle to a full tank and yes it does do the job just keeps fuel efficency up and cleans all injectors and pipes etc

with a clapped out engine thats been neglected it is a possibility, but newer engines i doubt theres any benefit. they even did it in test conditions on 5th gear once and the engine actually lost power. i used to believe in the hype but now i would much rather give it a good thrashing through the gears to do-coke it.

so higher mileage cars can benefit?

redex + service = 45+ mpg in vts.

i rate it.

sounds worth it if it impoves mpg and makes the car run more efficient.

used wynns before.. didnt really notice a huge diference, well i couldnt tell you tbh as i put it in whilst servicing the car, so dont know weather it had any affect, obv the service made things run better

ive used it a couple of times in various cars and yes you see a difference in a high mileage car but not really in one with fewer miles

Might have to give it a try, no harm can come of it!

I was going to get some Redex for my car but my mate, not overly cued up on cars, was told by somebody not to use it if you have a Cat as it will damage it. Not bothered looking into it but I did doubt this was true and seeing this thread has reinforced my conclusion.

Good for cleaning the injectors, so obviously on a 10 year old car or whatever, they're gonna be a bit gunked up, so running some through every now and then will clear them out, so you might notice if it's not been done before. :)

I've never noticed a difference, only difference I notice is that if I fill up at BP I get ALOT more miles as apposed to shell / supermarket garages.
