Not normally into this sort of stuff. But went to a house party the weekend and there was quite a bit of this playing.
Certainly is grimey. Anyone else like it?
It's kind of like drum and bass music / a little 4x4
Dont know why but im seriously in love with this song at the moment.

haha old mates are really into the dubstep scene. one has his own label, not really into the genre so wouldnt know how big he is or anything.
i know a few of them do a lot of gigs and that. dont really speak to them anymore though, they dont even shower these days...

yawn at that..
dubsteps been around a while now.. its quality the furthen underground you get into it, discovering the unknown artists etc
most people just hear "benga and coki - night" and think thats the greatest dubstep track ever
that beats well over a year old btw now aswell..
back to peej's point:
rinse06 - plastician
watch the ride - skream
dubstep allstars vol 5 - (cant remember)
glyphic - boxcutter
fabric live 37 - caspa and rusko
are very good albums / mixes
not a huge fan of the cockney thug or its remix, but some dubstep is ridiculously bassy, good music, and because its still unknown when theres a big rave its cheap to get in :) went to the biggest dub night of the year in london a while back, only £5 entry ;)

Snoop Dogg - Gin and Juice is 15 years old but I still blast it from time to time.
Just because a song is more than a year old does not make it shit and dubstep is still a "small" genre so not many people know about these underground artists.
I'm more into hip hop/grime and dubstep is just a side thing so don't really care about it that much.
Yawn, next...

lol, because it got big and lots of people know about it, it cant be a killer tune. Yeah Nights old but it introduced a shit load of people to dubstep tbh. And its still doing the rounds at underground raves, and it still gets people going tits

same here not heard that much but its 'cockney thug' that made me wander in a bit deeper.
some of it is terrible and makes me want to step away from it, then you hear another good song and your back.

how can you have something so bassy as your ringtone?
do you tell its ringing by the smoke and fire coming from the speaker...

just got fabriclive 37 and i like it, only a couple of weeks ago i was taking this piss out of dubstep because i heard someone describe it as atmospheric.
some of it is "atmopspheric"
boxcutter - glypic
boxcutter - oneiric
burial - untrue
pinch - underwater dancehall
just to name a few albums
to giggz above, chase and status arent really pure "dubstep" producers, only had a couple of releases at the mo from their album, which isnt great imo, partly becuase of all the hype surrounding it
back to peej and webbys discussion, glad you liked fabriclive37.. i dont really listen to it much now, i rinsed it out so much when i 1st got it lol, some good tracks on their, "(track21) rusko - 2 n a q" and "(track19) - orien - look into my eyes" are two of my favourite tracks on the album
i strongly reccomend "skream - watch the ride"
im sure you will like it :y:

in terms of dub, its quickly becoming too commerical due to the likes of rusko, benga & chaseNstatus. the underground scene stretches a LOT further than these "well known" artists, who seem to be the only guys know in the scene
search other artists such as:
goth trad
starkey
neil landstrumm
juttla
distance
pinch
boxcutter
kode9
n-type
mala
DMZ
babylon system
the bug
smut
seven
kutz
black ganion
tobias schmidt
D1
the others
magnetic man
kromestar
quantam
hatcha
juju
tes la rok
coki
wadadda
the list goes on...
