can any one help me i have a vtr with a starting problem my starter motor has gone on a go slow i got one from a scrapyard and it does the same thing it just turns over very slow {its got a new batt} and with my jump pack on it still has no go in it? it is starting to do my head in as the starter motor is not in the best place to get to...a big thanks if you can sort me out..:wall:

Try checking all the earthing points as a corroded earth means a high resistance which in turn could be causing that slow motor turn.

thanks for that i will have a look tomoz its a x reg with only 60.000 miles so i never looked at that {if that dont work it looks like my rs is coming out to play} and the vtr is pushing its luck?..not a happy bunny as its just one silly little thing thats stopping it..

check the crank sensor.

my starter is not turning the engine over that fast to crack it up its not the plugs..its a loss of volts or somthing simple {or i got a duff starter from the junk yard }i am at the point of giving up on it and sticking it on ebay..

done it the alternator belt had gone stupid tight pissed about with the starter and..bits to find it was that?
