I Have A Mark 2 VTR, Have Noticed It For A While Now, But When I Got My Backbox Sorted ( Tightned & Stopped Blowing) There Seems To Be A Noise Coming From The Front Of The Car, When I Rev. Almost Sounds Like A Diesel Engine. I Have A K&N Panel Filter Which Gives A Deeper Sound At The Front, Then After That You Have The Weird Sound ( Hissy Sound) The Finally The BAck Box Noise, Surly I Should Just Hear The Induction And The Backbox When I Rev And Drive? Is My Exhaust Simply Blowing Along Some Part Near The Front? Sorry For My Crap Description lol!

have a look see if there is any rust holes etc, my downpipe was blowing( welds rusted away ) and eventually snapped(original downpipe too), resulting my car sounding like a MONSTER TRUCK, but that got delt with :D

best way to check with help of a friend is leave car ideling while one of you lie down as close the the exhaust as possible(may need to jack car up and remeber axle stands) while the other holds an old rag over the exhaust tip you will hear the gasses escaping from the exhaust and will be able to pin point were from
