I need to get a really good present for my 17 year old girlfriend Rebekah....


Its our 1 year anniversary next Tuesday...and I don't have the foggiest on what to get her!

i usually vary stuff like this.... for our anniversary/valentines day i got her a diamond and white gold bracelet, and necklace to match... took her for a meal in a 5 star hotel then got a limo to pick us up and take us around for around 2 hours and got the driver to take us up a big hill so we could sip champagne and look at the city at night....

get a glass container with lid from debenhams or a place like cargo, fill it with pink white and red tissue paper (i passed sheets through a shreader) then create a hole in the middle so you can put stuff inside it, on red white and pink paper, cut them in to heart shapes and write as many reasons, that you love her. throw in some rude ones only you and her would know, like the mole, just below her left breast, and hey presto, she's got something that means alot.

when you have an argument you can then say, go to the pot of love and find out why i love you.

Mine's been at it for nearly a year now. Everynow and then she'll text me or ring and say , ahhhhh do you really love the way my feet smell or something! great thing is i've been topping it up, and intend to use it for bigger things in the future.!!!!

the limo thing probably wont happen, as its a bit too OTT, but i think if i buy her a necklace/bracelet for on the day, then make a weekend of it next weekend with a bit of pampering, a nice meal and hotel should do the trick! good show!

also, you could send her a cut up picture either through the post or over the email, a picture of the place you're going or, a picture of what you're cooking for her.

i booked a hotel room for the night, went in at 11, they let me in early, cover ed the floor with a rug and put down some picnic food, with strawberries etc, whipped cream chocolate etc, covered the bed with rose petals, (bought 24, used 12 to scatter, and 12 in a bunch on the bed) took apic of it. Printed it out at home, cut it up with like just the edges on some sections, and took the pieces with me on our 'date' showed her a bit at a time, and then at the end of the meal, gave her the middle section, it was the room, we went and found the room, and hey presto, a good night to remember!

i had also been to her place and picked up some stuff whilst she was out.

Bad idea roses are 2 easy & predictable, if my bloke bourght me roses for an anniversary i would not speak 2 him for at least a day, go 4 sumthing meaningfull that she wont be expecting, and obvious idea ask her mum/bestfriend/sister they will always know what she really wants, belive me!

Nah its not the flowers its the being shite & predictable with roses, if you love someone you should know what their favorite things are, such as types of flowers, not just gettin roses cos its the done thing, but yeah i'm high maintanince, but my blokes the same so we mesh well!

Evening guys and dolls, hope you are all well!

Im literally just back from Edinburgh (and dropping beks off and the kilt to dry cleaners) and OOOOF, what a weekend I tell thee.

The Apex was a beautiful hotel, and the room we had - had a view of the castle, which was awesome!

Ate at a restaurant called Oloroso - which was the best meal Ive ever had...but with a pricey consequence smileys/smiley17.gif worth every penny though

After the meal we went to a few bars to meet some old uni friends to kill off some time - then we made our way to the Opal Lounge on George Street as we were put on VIP - courtesy of my very good friend Tristan who works there smileys/smiley2.gif

Had a very chilled out night, with a bit of a boogie before we left...followed by a special taxi back to the hotel in a '67 Mustang smileys/smiley4.gif (with a bit of a detour round The Meadows first)

The weekend couldnt have gone any better, and a big thank you to those who helped with some ideas! smileys/smiley20.gif good work

and to top things off - had my premium member pack waiting on the doorstep as soon as i got in! yay
