Hi, When i turn the lights on and press on the brakes only one side comes on. Could there be a problem with the light circuit in the lights. i tried my mates lexus lights and it worked fine. Im using the standard mk1 lights. i have noticed the bulb holder for the brake light is loose compared to the others.

does the brake light bulb be different to the other bulbs? ive noticed that the side which works, the bulb has to wires inside it (if you know what i mean) and the other bulb which just has one.

oh my god....sorry but i have to laugh!!!! yeah the brake light bulb is supposed to have 2 elements in... 1 for the actual light and one for the brake so maybe you just need a new bulb for the one that doesnt work......

thats your problem solved :)

iirc.. (LONGGGG time since i've took the rear lights out)

There is just one plug that connects to the circuit board. The circuit board has the bulbs etc. As i understand, your missing the plug?

The bulbs are different. you have to have a left and a right bulb lol.. J/k. Nah they are the same.

^^ I dont understand that, sounds like the one with no wire is the bulb that works?

You can get a new bulb kit from halfords for a couple of quid.

Its illega btw to have a light out.

no its the rear light wehn the lights are switched on! i need to find someone with the same rear light so i can test to see if its just the circuit or to find out if its something more than that :(
