A 51 reg 106 with 115.000 miles on it?!?!?!

I was trawling though my computer and found some photos of each of the cars and scoots I have had over the last 6 years, and collectively, I have driven about 180-220k miles in the last 6 years!!! the longest single journey was done on my scooter - a Gilera Runner 180SP, when I came from Barcelona - Calais - Dover - Haywards Heath - 1001 miles in just under 24 hours. smileys/smiley12.gif My 106 I sold in Jan 2004 was a 51 reg independance and it had over 75000 miles on it!!!

I have done loads of long journeys in the car - noteably 4118 miles last year in 10 days in my Punto around Scotland.

I have put pictures of all my cars and scoots in places on my website

http://www.btinternet.com/~Mike_Cracknell/me1.htm

Where you all been then!?

You need this (was in my 106) "Mission Control a la 106"

http://www.btinternet.com/~Mike_Cracknell/cars/DCP_0548.jpg

That was my 106 - full built in Satnav, and the smaller screen was the traffic master to tell me where the shit traffic was!!

You want to go up north mate - the best roads in Scotland, and the UK, by far, are th A82 through Rannoch Mor (speed test there smileys/smiley2.gif ) and the A87 from Fort Augustus to Portree - wide empty roads where you can really open up the Saxo smileys/smiley4.gif

wideboy
30th August 2005, 02:08
u been on every road in scotland like?

my personal favourite is the 20 mile stretch of A76 Dumfries to Thornhill

longest straights (apart from motorway) iv been on, which is always good smileys/smiley17.gif

C2_VTR
30th August 2005, 02:14
Well In my case the longest I've been is a trip to Portugal in the saxo 2 years ago and on the C2 just came back a couple of days ago!

In the saxo I did 4000 miles in 14 days and on the C2 I've just done 5000 miles in 21 days. I'd say the longest of it was the first drive there in the saxo which took me about 40 hours and the shortest was this year in the C2 also on the way there and only took me 30 hours (all counted from Calais to Lisbon and national roads as much as possible [no tolls smileys/smiley17.gif]) and the way there is about 1500 miles.

Have you been on the Applecross road off the A87 - now that IS the most dangerously scary like thing in Britain - one slip there and you are DOOMED smileys/smiley4.gif smileys/flamed.gif smileys/fcuk.gif

In the saxo I did 4000 miles in 14 days and on the C2 I've just done 5000 miles in 21 days.

I just beat ya then - 4118 in 10 days around Scotland (and the Isle of Lewis - don't ever go there its like being in a desert!!) smileys/smiley17.gif

Have you seen the "itemised" list of my vehicles and the miles I have done in them/on them on my site???
