Right, my dad's b'day is coming up and we are looking at getting him an iphone. Trouble is though his work supply his phones (there proper old, just gone into colour screens haha). They pay his 2 contract bills (he has 1 phone for the uk and 1 when he's in Ireland).
Now, is it possible to buy the iPhone then just put his 02 contract sim card in and work? At the moment he has some gadget thing that allows him to use broadband on current phone but its not very good.
Also, are there any other phones around that we can do this too? He hardly uses text and uses the phone ALOT throughout the day.
Thanks guys

You cant just 'buy' the iPhone. You have to sign up to another contract in the shop....

Technically you could buy an unlocked one on eBay but they are going for £400+

Could you buy a pay as you go one and then use the old sim?

Nope, didn't ask that, was just asking if you could buy an iphone without signing up for the contract. I know there alot on pay as you go, was just seeing if it was possible on contract.
Its too much hassle anyway with his other work phones. Never mind.
