Electric innards in manual mirror?

Does anybody know if it is possible to take the motor, mirror, loom and mount from an electric mirror and place it all in an empty manual mirror case?

Same size so dont see a problem may take some customising though cheaper just to buy electircs

Getting electric mirrors but one appears to be broken and as I have a fine wing mirror case I was hoping it would be a simple swap over.
