The leccy switches are down in the lower console mate.

i thought it would be where the hazard lights switch are

leccy switches are between gear stick n handbrake

so in order to get the switches there i will need to get a new console bit that surrounds the handbrake

shouldn't do mate. the switches are in the bit that surrounds the gear stick - literally they're just behind the gear stick.

sounds like theres a panel you can pop out & put the switches in. i suppose they make one console & then either put the switches in or a blanking panel depending on the spec of the car
