This day thing is a load of rubbish. My mate got pulled doing 120 in a 60 (Yes he is very stupid and yes he regrets it big time now). Copper eventually said after a huge rollocking that he would let him off this once but if he every sees him doing 1 mph over the limit he is gonna do him, and oh he had to return all his dodgy mods back to standard like tints and lights etc. 4 MONTHS later, gets a court summons £160 fine and 5 points. Let off very lightly. Oh and I dont think for cameras tehy have got a certain amount of days to get them to you, I heard they have got something like 21 days (or whatever it is) to actually sort out all the paper worok for it or something from the point of getting caught. So they couldnt open a case like 3 months old or something.

if you are flashed by a camera, then you have to receive an n.i.p (notice of intended prosecution) within 14 days of the alleged offence. after that time, they cannot prosecute.

as you were pulled over, they have basically given you a 'verbal' notice of intended prosecution so it could go on for up to a year. the best thing to do is to keep shtut and slow down smileys/smiley17.gif
