Im coming to the end of an 18 month (2 months left) contract and am debating whether to leave Orange and go to O2.

What tariffs do people have? A couple of friends at Uni had some really good O2 deals.

I was just offered the Nokia 6500 and 200 mins (or 500 i cant remember now!) & Unlimited texts for £20p/m. Which im sure wont be the best tariff on here for by long way but i dont think its too bad. Im not happy with the phone though, I want the Nokia N96 or new Sony even though im a Nokia whore.

Should I try to beat Orange down more on the tariff price and get the N96? Even waiting until I can give them my months notice and have the biggest bargaining power.

Or sod off to O2? Would they offer me a better than advertised deal if I said i was leaving Orange for them?

In a similar situation tbh. I am out of contract with orange, mine just rolls over each month.

Havent spoke to them yet but Im expecting them to throw a few deals at me, but I want the new iPhone so theres not a lot they can do to be honest.

Yeah, the O2 iphone contracts look pretty poor but apparently AdSayer got a good new deal.

iPhone contract is alright tbh. Although i nailed the texts last month and went over it was only because it was a new phone and texting randoms i never get in touch with to tell about the new number.

I'm on £35 a month, was tempted to knock it up to the £45 a month one.

I can see why, as the mins double.

it's not the mins that i'm worried about tbh. Never go over the amount. Texts is what i need. May get a bolt on if possible.

T-Mobile are advertising a really good deal at the moment, doing 700 minutes and unlimited texts for £30 a month.

Definitely leave Orange though - I'm with them and just waiting for my contract to expire. Joined them 3 years ago - was good to start with, but had nothing but issues with them since.

if you go with O2 beware of their customer service, absolutely shocking, me and a few others have left O2 because of it, always had problems with O2, on and off signal, unbilled charges for no apparent reason etc etc... the list goes on.

I've just started a new contract with Orange, I get:

400 mins anytime any network
unlimited texts

£22.50 a month

Only downside was I had to pay for the phone, C905 because you cant get it free with anyone unless its a £45 a month contract.
