There were issues with iPods a while ago, whether this is old news and no longer a problem I have no idea...

It's also interesting that Creative won the MP3 player patent (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4198360.stm), although whether this will impact Apple is anyone's guess.

Just to mix things up further, some Creative MP3 players shipped with a virus (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/09/01/creative_mp3_player_virus_flap/) recently, and are now being recalled.

i got a creative zen microplayer, they are pretty kool and i only bought it because it lights up lol however the battery is crap on them - i charged it up 2 days ago - havnt played it, just put it on and the battery is crapped lol

Never get an Ipod...

They say you can have 1000+ what ever songs on it, a new sogn every day for a huge amount of years...
But the battery only lasts 8 hours or even less smileys/smiley12.gif

lol - the company i work for has a contract with packard bell and a few other companies that manufacture mp3 players

word of advice - DO NOT buy packard bell mp3 players, theyr firmware is so bad, and if that doesnt fail - the actual harware falls apart too

we get soo soooo many rejects sent to our factory, the process workers + engineers try to fix them, then i try to sell them in bulk to global companies. and i must admit...they dont sell too well smileys/smiley5.gif

and yes, creatives are a good buy - very little of them corrupt and need flashed again
