lowering when have euro style alloys?

if you where to get some euro style alloys (i think there all like 14" or 15") in order for them to look good how much do you think you would have to lower the car?

40 allround for handling

most euro cars are as low as possible

yea thats what i thought cos all the pics ive seen of cars with them they all look so low so just wondered whether most people lower it more then it they were to have some standard alloys
