lol @ the description of that item... If the xbox is produucing enough heat to "re solder the connections on the processor" then you got big problems :err:

where the hell do you clamp it:S

where the hell do you clamp it:S

1) Strip the console down to the motherboard and out of the metal casing.
2) Turn it to the underside, prize off the original X-clamps, use a socket or plyers to twist off the little bolts that are on the heatsinks.

3) Clean the paste off (I use cotton buds) so you get a mirror-like shine on the chips.

4) Smooth a layer of fresh thermal paste onto the chips.

5) Looking from the top of the motherboard put 2x Nylon washers on each hole, and place the heatsinks back on top.

6) With the 8 bolts, put 1 metal washer on each and screw them in from underneath, can be a little fidgety making sure the nylon ones on top don't move.

7) Dont leave them "too- tight" or "too- loose" but just enough without straining yourself.

8) Since it's out of the casing, plug the RF unit back on the front, plug in the AV cable and Power cable, turn it on it'll probably RROD, let it cook for 5 mins or so with NO FANS on, the lights will flash the 2 red ones on the left.

9) Turn it off when you see the 2 lights by unplugging the power cable from the back of the console, and let it sit there for 10-15 minuites, plug fans back in and test it by turning it on.

10) Find a comfy chair, and sit there the rest of the evening calling people n00bs and asking americans if they're local to a wallmart.

Tadaaaah
