ive had to enlarge the picture so i could see it. :clapping:

tbh mate id just replcae the rocker cover they are like £18 from citroen
as pred has said get some degreaser and ome brushes
i used Auto Glym engine gleaner when i first did mine and soaked the engine in that and brushed away.

im sure theres a guide in the stickys on how to clean your engine bay. If not there is one on the polished bliss website.

once youve washed it get the trim detailer out and get it on everything plastic to give it a clean look.

remember not to get electrical or air intakes wet.

ahhh that engine bay is lovely and clean man mate!!

Mine was VERY bad when i got my car (pics below) all you need to give her a quick tidy up is a bucket of hot water with LOTS of fairy washing up liquid in, wash all the plastics down etc etc (obviously be carfull for electrics) then dry it all off and dress the plastics with bumper shine and use Megs tyre gel on all the rubber hoses.

as for your rocker cover, either sand it abck to bare metal or jst buy a new one.

heatproof paint IS NOT needed, i just sanded mine back, 3 coats of primer, 3 LIGHT coats of the desired colour and the 3 coats of lacquer, been done for about 4 month now and its perfectly fine.....

If you do decide to sand it back and not get a new one, put a rust proofing on to save it rusting again :y:

Here are the before and after shots of my engine bay, this took 30mins to do, and you thought yours was bad!!!
