Well I have recently got an xbox 360 and fancied getting live with it, however the xbox is in my room upstairs and the phone line/normal computer is downstairs with no lines coming up at all. Running wires upstairs is out of the question so I am thinking some sort of wireless connection, but what would I need to buy to set it all up?
cheers

You'll need a wireless router mate. Then you'll need the £60 wireless usb for the 360
Might actually be easier to run a 156m ethernet cable lol

You will need a wireless router/modem, of which you might already have.
And then a wireless xbox adaptor.

On the back of the homehub there should be a wireless key, on a sticker, u will need that when setting the wireless up http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XBOX-360-WIRELESS-NETWORK-ADAPTER-WIFI-ADAPTER_W0QQitemZ270303442836QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _VideoGames_VideoGameAccessories_VideoGameAccessor ies_JN?hash=item270303442836&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1431|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18

Get that ^ dirt cheap mate.
Used but still it's only plugged in not fucked about with once plugged in.
EDIT: You may have issues with the homehub having "strict" NAT there is ways to sort it so its set to "open" cant remember how now though but you may be alright.

Is the wireless xbox adapter any good? Does it drop in and out or should it be fine? I've got the same problem!

Wireless adaptor is great. Works through walls/floors as expected only issues ive had are with the homehub itself.
However im now infertile.

Get a cheap wireless repeater.
It's what I've just done, does the trick perfect, saves money on micro'duff products.
Or try ringing microsoft and saying you got one but its broke :P
