im keeping my current car till av finished it off then am guna move on! been trying to decide what to get! after trax at the weekend! im thinking that a Saxo would be a very good idea! VTR!! look well mint when they're modded!! would this be a good choice for a 2nd car!? smileys/smiley2.gif are they fast, reliable etc

i got a vtr as my second car and very happy with it! ive had a few bits and pieces needing fixing but i wouldnt say anymore than i would expect with any other car! they are well nippy aswell mate! obv a vts is much quicker but there not slow by any means! were bouts u from in north east mate?

gooood! am from Darlington matey, where u from! there's loads round ere at the mo! but i want one to make better than everyone elses! the reason i like my car at the mo! is cos ive spent loadsa money on it! n they arnt many ov them around smileys/smiley14.gif

im from stockton mate! wat car u got now any pics? there are a canny few saxos about buut i wouldnt say u needed to spend a load to make it looks good just keep things simple as its a nice lookin car to start with. altho its down to personal choice at the end of it smileys/smiley14.gif

I had the choice when i decided to buy a nice car between a vtr of a corse GSI.

Now the GSI is abit faster but much prefear the VTR.

I've got 8.0 flat out of my vtr 0-60. So thats quik enough so far till i get my turbo and uprated manifold and straight through d-cat exhaust lol. oh yeah and superchiped and NOSed up lol. going to be a while yet though lol

should get 4-5 seconds 0-60 after all that lol

standard 0-60mph in a vtr is 9.2 seconds.

standard 0-60mph in a vts is 7.8 seconds.

dan, what have you had done to the car in order to get a 8 second 0-60mph!?!

who timed it?

we also had a discussion that your car is possibly the 90bhp vtr with it being an s-reg and the cat. may be under the car and not in the manifold.

i have a mk4 1.2516v zetec! 80bhp! will they be a big speed difference?

well a vtr (just going on 0-60 stats) is quicker than a mk5 fiesta zetec-s if thats any help. but only just

arent they 75bhp? my mate had one.

the mk2 vtr's are 98bhp and the mk4 zetec s's are 103bhp. i wouldnt think there is a lot difference in weight so i think the zetec-s could just take the vtr. i had a little race with one a while back and it did keep ahead of me.

i think thats pretty good goin for the vtr seen as the zetec s is at the top of their range! the saxo still has the vts
