i dont like them because they are expensive, inefficent, they dont work well with subs in the boot when on the parcel shelf, they drag the soundstage backwards.

In my eyes they dont seem to do much well, they cant produce bass like a sub. They dont do mid and treble as well as a set of compnents.

BUT at the end of the day i can see why they are so popular its an easy upgrade to make things "louder"

I wouldnt say theres anything wrong with them, its just that there are better options available for the reasons that scott gives.

easiest option and can pick them up cheap, as scott says they drag the sound to the back i used to like them, but i no longer have them i have front speakers with tweeters n that, then all music goes to front apart from a bit that goes to the back

wen i go in my mates saxo he has 6x9s and i realise why scot hates them the sound jus comes from behind n shouts shit! altho sounds ok sound from behind jus doesnt work for me!
