Well the sounds quality from my TV is shit TBH so I am looking at buying some new speakers for it. I haven't a clue what to get or how much to spend but I currently have a Toshbia TV.
I want to spend as little as possible to be honest and I just want them to sit by the TV, can't really be bother to set up surround sound.
Any help would be great.

I've got logitech x530's.. no idea if you can plug them into your TV, but I use them for my 360.

tbh dude any set of 2.1 from ebuyer between a £20-£30 budgets will do what you are after & they plug into the headphone socket on the tv.
I hate the sound you get from normal TV speakers so every TV in the house & at my girlfriends flat at least has a set of 2.1 plugged into them!

Not the prettiest looking things in the world but at £20, i've used 2 sets of these in the past & they are the best cheap speakers i've come accross.

I think that is the sort of stuff I am after Mystic. I just want some thing as the standard set up seems to always rattle/vibrate!
Cheers for the help so far.

Sorry just a quick question if they plug into the headphone section does sound still come out of the tv itself or just the new speakers.

im pretty sure it comes out the tv too, it does on mine but going from my tv at home again if you turn the volume all the way down/ mute its only played out of the speakers... newer TVs might mute the stock speakers when something is plugged in mine didnt though...
o and IMO spend your max budget so you get that lil bit better quality unit... aftermarket speakers make a hell of alot of differences especially when watching films...

Using the headphone jack it will just be out the speakers, not the TV. Think about it, why would you want the TV volume on if you are sat in front of it wearing headphones ;)
The TV remote should still work for the volume if you just set the speakers midway. Its hit or miss from my experience if this works or not though, majority it will.
Stickyjam, you sure your using rhe heaphone socket on your TV & not like an audio out/RCAs or something?
