as i said before, the rear is to stiff (rally shocks and not turned bars)
i was going to turn the torsion bars to loosen the rear so i dont feel every bump, but this guy suggests that i leave it like this because the car will become unpleasently unstable if i turn the bars
what do you people say, after all, who has more experience withs saxo's? smileys/smiley2.gif

if you lower it 40-60mm then you should be ok.

front is lowered around 40mm
i replaced rear shocks with pug rally ones, and didnt do anything to the bars.
now, the rear is pretty stiff, and i really get the comfort of driving when i put stuff in the trunk (besides the boot build), and then i dont feel all the bumps and stones
so, it should be ok if i loosen the bars?

i think it would be better, yes.

you cant loosen the bars they are a fixed rate, all you could do is make the rear higher so that you have a greater length of travel before hitting th bump stops

would raising it not make the rear dampers fucked as they arent long enough to deal with the extra travel?
[edit] - i thought i saw it somewhere, written in your previous thread
it's not the shocks which dictate the stiffness of the rear, it's the torsion bars. so fitting rally shocks shouldn't make the back stiffer. it sounds like the shocks are at the limit of their travel with the standard ride height. so lowering the torsion bar should help give the rear a more 'normal' feel.

that's what i meant Joe. he's on rally shocks(which i assume are shortened), but at standard ride height. so if he lowers the torsion bars then it'll stop the shocks being at the limit of their travel.

that's right (both, they are shortened and at the limit of their travel, highest point)
that's my idea aswell
c, when i've put around 100kg of iron in the boot, rear became softer, so i think i'll solve it with loosening the bars (or turnin them, same thing)

From the way you've explained it, I see it as you've been lowered 40mm at the front; and have shortened rally shocks at the back with the torsion bar at standard height.
If you lower the torsion bar; preferably to match the front (40mm) then you should be fine matey!

hey all!!!
i did it today! it took me 5 hours, but hey, it's a new experience, and next time it shouldnt take more then 2 hours.
i think next time will be tomorrow, because i think we lowered it too far. it doesnt hit on bumps or anything, but i think it's too low.
i got what i wanted, the rear is not stiff. it is because of the shocks, but way less than before.
i wanted to post some pics, but there are some problems with the server i'm using
hope i can upload it when it's done
