Ok so just got a quote on the VTS with Bell.
Currently 18 but the insurance wont start till my birthday which is in 2 weeks time.
Fully comp
0 no claims
1 year 2 months exp
Mum and Dad as named drivers
Lowered, exhaust, induction kit
Covers me to drive other cars 3rd party
12 month policy.
£1713.65
Seems pretty reasonable. I was getting other quotes at 4k+!!
Only other company to try is Brentacre? Any good?

i got quoted at £3500 for a vts today :O lol
so £1713 seems quite reasonable lol

Pretty good quote mate yeah. Brentacre only cover people with 1ncb or more, or two years driving experience or more

im with them and in similair situation to you
£1600ish fc but i paid this full
monthly bell are a rip off and will charge £2400 in total or something stupid

I thought bell added an 8% charge for monthly payments (think I read it somewhere)

Unless your dad is an OAP take him off the policy, he's probably costing you. Try adding some grandparents or another middle aged female too.

EDIT. Dad off, went up to 2400 ish.

I thought bell added an 8% charge for monthly payments (think I read it somewhere)
more than 8%
they add other stupid stuff on it

Woah, middle aged en are usually still a risk. Try chngin your dads sex to female and see if it saves you any more (just for experimental purpose obviously) and if it does then you need to try and replace him with an aunt or grandparent imo.
I have myself, mum & grandad on my policy.

not bad that! i got quoted about the same on 2 years driving and 2 years NCB. :(

Just changed my dad to a woman....lol
and the price was £10 cheeper!:wacko:

hehe theres no limits on the drive any other car third party is there, just tax'd mot'd and insured.

I would advise you to check your policy, 2bh thats what i'm concerned about because i will have access to a scooby, Jaguar and a audi cant really see them covering me on any of those cars especially the scoob.
