Hi, Ive spent all day today trying to fit an amp and sub to my saxo however cant manage to get power up the amp. Im pretty certain that the connection from the battery to the amp is ok. I think its the remote cable giving me grief. On my amplifier, which is a Pioneer GM 3400, there is no where to connect the remote cable. Im so confused! any ideas please?

Thanks alot

Joe

have you got the manual for your headunit, have a look for a wire on the diagrams if so, you should be looking for a wire called antenna or remote turn on :y:

i cant find the manual. on the back there is a wire called remote control. and also a blue and white lead which isnt labelled. I dont know where to connect this cable on the amp though, as there is no remote terminal.

I bought a wiring kit today which said run the remote lead from the HU to the amps remote terminal. But there isnt one on mine. Is there any way round it, or do i even need it at all?

cheers

According to a site on the web there is a black clip on the bottom of the amp with a red, yellow and blue wire. It says put the red and yellow together and run the blue to the remote. Hope it helps.

i think i have found the problem. Your right about the black clip. For some strange reason the amp uses this instead of the remote lead. Time to have a search in the loft for this lead now! lol. Thanks alot for all the help.
