Sell your VTR engine, drop a VTS engine in and then turbo that smileys/smiley16.gif

Sell the VTR, buy a VTS for roughly the same price, and then turbo that when you get a bit bored of the VTS power, and you get a new colour aswell. smileys/smiley2.gif

There is a supercharged VTS in the "for sale" section for £6K. Or is it definetly a turbo you'd want?

i wanted to drop a vts lump into my vtr but my insurance company would not touch me, but they would if i went out and bought a vts. but im now glad i got rid of the vtr and have the vts.

i would drop a vts engine in mate, can get it done cheap enough, dont think you will have a problem finding an engine either

i do agree with craig in saying that you could buy a vts lump and have it fitted for a good price. you wouldn't spend any more than £1k. i was quoted around £800, but the insurance company had the final say.

devildamo could you not have swapped insurance companys.

DevilDamo

nope... because i would have been paying over the roof for my modified vtr, let alone a vts conversion.

i got a quote for a vts and its only about £100 more then my vtr but like damo said not sure about a vts conversion with my insurance

Certifiable iv seen that 1 im after a mk2 id rather have a turbo then a supercharger but not to fussy about that

DevilDamo

that is exactly how much extra i paid for going from the vtr to the vts. however i did loose a bit of money when selling the vtr because it was slightly modified. but, you should be able to pick up a decent mk2 for around £4,500.

If you want a reliable fast car, get a VTS.
If you want more power and something different but at a cost (less reliable, more expensive) then get it turbo'd.

hesslevtr

Lots of good action in the Premium videos too...

Its about time I got a rollcage mount and got some new video footage sorted out!!

VTS option would be the safest bet... if you plan to turbo, be prepared to uprate and break a lot of pieces of kit...
