neons

i just got given some neons off a "mate" smileys/smiley2.gif and havent a clue how to wire them up really. i've taken a look at wiring them up to the cigarette lighter round the back but not sure where to start. the idea of using the lighter doesnt really appeal to me. if anyone can tell me some points i can hook them up to, it would be great

mine are wired into my boot light so when u open they come on!

but that doesnt help for inside car....

couldnt i do the same for the front doors, so that when i open them, the neons come on

yea i need sum ideas to, wired one in to my amp, thinkin bout wiring the 2 side ones in to rear lights??

i want to wire them up to the ciggy lighter but there are three wires

which one is + and which is - ?

one is grey other is yellow with green stripes and other is a thin green wire

Cable tied ,mine to the fabric covered plate in the driver footwell and then cable tied them to the metal bar to which the bonnet pop/release arm is attached to on the passenger side. They fit perfect and you cant see them either smileys/smiley17.gif

Make sure you clean the surface your going to attach them to with meths. If its just the light 12 inch ones then get some self adhesive velcro strips from Halfords. I attached mine under the footwells with this and they haven`t gone anywhere. Also makes it easier to change them should u have a little accident wiv your big feet!! smileys/happy.gif

to hold up the neons get a piece of wire and make a u shape and twist clamping the neon that use loads of tape to stick it to the under side of the dash.

becarefull when wiring the neons to cigarette light that you get the right wire otherwise they will turn off when you put your side lights on smileys/smiley17.gif

iv done it so they come on when the side lights come on and also havea switch which only works when the lights come on

which doesnt really bother me as im only gonna use them when its dark so makes sense

still havnt fitted the neons yet though lol i keep putting it off

remember you might need to change the fuse.mine are connected through a cigarette lighter and i had to change a 0.5amp for a 1 amp
