Thanks mate! lol :)

Ive got VTR alloys on at the min, and i wana get sum 106 raptors and refurb them black. Just scared that it will look really high. Its lowered like 50mm at the moment, and sits perfect with the VTR alloys, Just scared about that extra inch.

any thoughts?

That extra inch?

The GTi raptors are the same as the VTR alloys 14", so should sit exactly the same...unless you have different tyre profile on the raptors

Quick Question.. Can i use the same wheel bolts from my VTR? Do i need spacers or anything?

Thanks :D

AlexB

you can use the flat saxo bolts yes
but the 106 run very deep bolt holes

the proper 106 bolts have longer heads on them

si_pow

So is it advisable to get the 106 bolts?

AlexB

i would but you should manage to use the vtr bolts

its just like the hexagoal bit you put the socket on is longer

not a clue mate sorry, angle grider would work im sure then the final bit perhaps with a sander. that will save you filling any holes you create by grinding tooo much off

The alloys have just been refurbed black, and cars going into the garage tomorrow to get the wheels put on (as the old crappy locking nuts are stuck on)

Would it be ok If i used a mixture of the 106 gti bolts and my originals on each wheel or not? Please help :)

Decent price. Where did you get them from?

si_pow
14th December 2008, 16:03
Guy on here was selling them 5 alloys with tyres for £40; Just had to pay the delivery price. All tyres have excellent tread, and the tyres are Pirelli and Firestone. Not bad huh :D
