Hi everyone,

well basically i've just bought a new saxo VTR after having a corsa for 3 years..the corsa was already modified and had good speakers in it so i dont really know anything about sound systems.

I'm taking the 2 subs and 2 amps which are in the corsa out and putting them in my saxo because they're pretty good, so i'd like to know which speakers would be ok, and would i need front speakers or rear?

i saw these in another thread and they look alright...I have a fairly tight budget cuz im saving up for alloys etc too...

thanks!

I just went and had a look and what I've got atm is:

2x 1400w VIBE subs
2x 700w alpine amps

(These two are connected in a box)

and the rear speakers in the car were:

2x 6x9 250w peak 50w RMS speakers....not sure about the front

and budget??

tbh i wouldnt bother with 6x9s, sell them on, buy some components and a 2 channel amp

oh yeah sorry...ermm maybe up to £100 atm, but if you recommended some decent ones for a reasonable price then i'd be happy to save up instead of wasting money on not so good ones.

the 6x9's are in the corsa which im selling so im leaving them in there, just keeping the subs and amps.

tbh you will only get components and wiring with that amount, i can have a look but can you not push it to a a bit more 140 at the least i think is whats needed

I can probably push it a bit higher, if not I'll just wait a few weeks or get em for xmas lol

What is the 2 channel amp you mentioned? Is it the same as the 2 amps i already have connected to my subs? :S

i dont know how you have your subs wired tbh mate

an amp can have 1 up to 6 channels, sometimes more, you can link them up in different ways just normally or bridged

tbh you may be better waiting till after xmas now, will be sales on by then and you may have more cash by then :)
