Is it ever closed during this time of the year?

Ive got a concert in the Hallam arena next Friday and im driving and I think this is the quickest way from Liverpool way.

possible it could be. Just phone up sumwhere or check on the internet on the monring or whatever.

Arite phil, im coming home from sheff uni on thursday so will let you know if there are signs up sayin its shut over the winter or wateva.

Yes mate i live in glossop at the bottom of the snaked and its closed alot but only usually due to bad snowfall or if theres been a crash due to the ice! Can get very busy if woodhead closes aswell! :y:

Dont think its been closed this winter yet...Last time i can remember is when the road subsided!

yes they do close it when visibility is crap and when the snow drifts are at full force, when i went on thursday it was icey but open... got some photos of up there with the snow actually ;) quite picturess lol
