Why are you keeping a car you sold on your insurance anyway?

It os illegal to have 2 policies running on the same vehicle at the same time soi you need to get it cancelled, otherwise you are paying for a null and void agreement!

With regards to selling your car and something going wrong with it after the sale, generally speaking the buyer will have no comeback unless you wrote into the terms of sale that you are offering a warranty of sorts.

Hope that answers your question

i am almost positive you can put the policy on hold. And if you signed a reciept saying sold as seen they cant do anything!

When i was buying my new car back in April i rang the insurance company and told them that i wanted to keep my policy as i would be getting a new car in a few weeks. They said they would add a note and i had 28 days to come back to them and change the car details and if i didnt do this then i could put my policy on hold until i did get a new car.
