just a qick queston, i currently have insurance for my saxo which is having no end of problems so iam selling up but i have just brought a 04 civic type r i have got a pretty good quote so far me being 19 and having 2 years no claims it was only £1250 which i thought was great so i rang my insurance who i have with my saxo to see if they would beat that and they old me they will not insure me on that type of vechical!
so if i was to cancel with them would they charge me a cancellation fee with them not being able to insure me?

It's usually a months payment if you pay by direct debit. If you've paid in full then I'm not sure

They shouldnt charge you anything, i changed insurance sompany as they couldnt match teh one that was lower, so i just said i was going to cancel and they were fine and refunded me the amount i of months a had left at the cost it would be per month and all was fine tbh

Its often in the small print of your insurance contract that theres either an admin fee or if its the first six months of your contract then the amount charged will be a greater percentage than the time used. If youve signed, you havent got a choice im afriad.

Doubt it. there may be admin fee's of varying levels though. if you're paying by DD they'll just stop taking payments. if you've paid in full they'll refund any full months left if i recall correctly
