hiya can any1 help me out a little was just wondering what is a good amp for powering my 15" sub because everytime i have the bass ova half the tunes stop for like 10 seconds then start agen dont no weather its the amp or somthing i have done wrong ...maybe i need mono amp aswell? or can i still have good bass from a 4 channel 500w amp?

are you running the speakers in the car from the head unit or from another amp?

running them from the same amp only have my 6 " 9s on so the speakers and sub are on same amp

i only ask as were i work we have got some cheat but good amps.
is the amp you have a 4 channel amp?

yeh its a 4 channel.... my bass isnt like any1 elses its jus like a thud noise so somthing is wrong.

yep you are asking to much. if you under power a sub you can damage it so better sooner rather than later.

yeah as far as i know i i dont deal with vibe. what is the power of you sub? as it is best to try and match like for like.

its 1400 so im looking for an amp that is cheap and good for the sub any suggestions?

look for an amp around 500watts RMS dont get a 1400rms ampo on that sub as you wpuld melt is. The 1400watt is max wattage just under half is the rms.

the sub box makes a big difference, but it depends how it is
constructed and also on the volume of the sub

no your sony amp probably wouldnt hit 500w max unless lighting struck it. Your looking for some thing 500w RMS dont even bother to read max power figures they are 99% nonsense.
Yes sub box is absolutely critical to how a sub sounds

could be the amp if its to little power or maybe you playing to faster music for the 15" lol
