Dont wanna start a fanboy war here.
But im really sick of the Playstation Network. It just seems to always have online issues and as soon as a new game or service comes out, the server just packs up and Sony cant cope with the "high traffic" of users. Only good thing is its free but then again id rather pay and get a good service.

Anyway, whats XBOX like online? I dont mean games and that, just like any connection issues and stuff like that? Do you ever get connection issues online on games, especially with new realeases like GTA IV, COD5 etc.

Seriously thinking about getting an XBOX if it has a better online service cus PS3 is a pile of wank.

the only time i have ever had issues was last christmas but they claim to have fixed taht. I dont grudge paying for it because its excellent 99.9% of the time

Agree with Jacko, Xbox is FTW.

No connection issues and much more enjoyable.

I cant even connect with my mate who lives in the same street on GTA IV online, we gave up ages ago trying to. COD4 never worked. Only game that ever worked was Burnout.
Hes now bought an XBOX and says the same as you lot. Might get one for xmas maybe.

Blockbusters shuts at 10, see if they'll give you a P/X on a Xbox 360 package ...

If you're impatient of course ;)

Get the 360 mate. Xbox live is always awesome for me and I don't have the fastest connection in the world to be fair. It's like less than £5 a month so it's well worth paying for. People who argue against is cus PS online is free is like saying you'd rather buy a mobile phone with free internet than pay for real internet I think.

And not only are the connection issues fine I always find the community to be pretty fun and you never really find yourself playing against the same people. There's also a review on gamespot where they compared like 7 games on both systems for graphics and I think the 360 won on all but one. PS3 has potential that will never be reached or by time it is reached a newer, far better Xbox will be well on it's way to market dominance.

I say 360, and have owned a PS3 and Xbox.

It annoys me how you can't send messeges etc while in games on the PS3. Everything orientates around the dashboard on it, and the games seem like a different seperated bit. Where on XBL it's more integrated and you can be playing 1 second, chatting to a friend another or looking at your games played another.

I would say xbox just be careful of the new ones, my last one died (red rings yay!) so i brought a new arcade as i had a harddrive already. In two weeks its been replaced 4 times now on my 5th which is now back at xbox.

Each time i have recieved the message cannot read disk, this happened on every game i have included Fable 2. With or without the harddrive

I had a PS3 too which i sold due to crappy online experience and xbox's superior

Ever now i still say xbox is better just hope you find a good one unlike me btw dont buy from Game

There was an update to allow all of that. Just press the PS button while youre in a game or whatever and you can go on the menu and that.

Think i may invest in a sexbox then as PS3 and their network is just pissing me off now. This new Playstation Home theyve released has like crashed the servers or something and hardly anyone can get on the game because of it. Sony say its due to "high traffic", but why didnt they just prepare for it? Nobs.

Well considering I've only been online with my PS3 once, then for the internet connection speed get an XBox 360.

Connecting to games on GTA4 is bad yea.

And glad they brought an update out, that annoyed the hell out of me.

For paying for live, opt to get a 12/13month membership code from eBay or likewise website, you'll save more money than paying microsoft for it.

Mine cost 20 pounds for 13 months gold membership ;)

ah ... its different with my mates tho, some had 360s and traded them for PSs, and non have them have gone back. but i think one of the main things for them was not having to pay for online services, they get a similar standard service on their PS3s - for free, non of us have had many problems

ps3 is gonna be in my room in the near future, ive had all the PS's and have not been disapointed. all i hear regarding X-box is overheating and crashing, however as i am not an owner of one i wont hold that against them. i just like th ePS more.

xbox is far better online, although as a console the ps3 is better loads of features, great networking albeit can never connect to home atm, but being able to sync with psp etc, and blueray which is awesome imo, saying all that i prefer the xbox.
