I went overdrawn by £10.96...then a few more pennies...
Altogether they took £78 in overdrawn fee's
Bloody pisstake.
So this week in my wages im £78 down, and its christmas and everything so really not happy.
I know its my own fault but still as a student i think this takes the piss.

unlucky, dont go over, and if you do, get your mum or someone to lend you 10 quid to get it out of red so you dont get charged.. or just dont go into overdraft, or just get a bigger overdraft

Well the next day as soon as my wages got paid in they took the charges straight out without even notifying me.
I even said i would pay what i was over by..i mean i carry like £300 in my wallet at all times!
Tossers TBH, need to set a overdraft up! Just for future safetyness

when you next think you willgo overdrawn speak to your bank and they might be able to sort something out for ya.

mate dont let that go thats far too excessive thats like 700% profit... write them a letter... can you not remember how much it was in the news about it? i went over and got charged 30 quid and i thought that was excessive for 10 quid over(like you) and they wrote back saying it was there policy to charge this and if i kept my account in good standing for 12 months i get it paid back(will i see this money, doubt it)
but write to/ring them they are very likely to reimburse atleast some of it! or go into your local branch 78 quid is ridiculous, see it as a test, if they win they get free money! if you fight back you dont lose anything/as much!

Banks are now in court over these charges where they are currently arguing what reasonable charges are. So youre unlikely to get your money back till a decision is made which will be early next year. Put in a formal complaint now and a claim and then just wait.
