Is there a way to link the two together.

Basically what i want to do is save all the Programmes i have recorded on to my Laptop which in turn will be saved on my Network drive.

So that i can run TwonkyVision (http://http://www.twonkyvision.de/) and watch those programmes on my laptop and TV through the PS3 and any other streaming device.

Also so i can free up some space on my Set Top box as well, got lots of top gear on it :)

Thanks

p.s I'd also rather not take my freeview box to pieces either, I have thought about connected to DVD recorder but then i would have to let it play through ever programme and that would take ages.

I was also thinking, if i perhaps did take the case of if there was a way maybe to split the cable (im guessing its going to be an IDE) have the other cable running out the back pop the case back on and then connect the IDE cable to a caddy which in turn allows me to connect via USB/Firewire. But im not sure if that way would work, especially the splitting the cable idea.
