there is no way that the preservatives in the burger will make it last that long. i actually doubt it is even 12 years old aswel.
there is strict control on what preservatives are used in food and if this is the case then that preservative would of been banned years ago. the reason i say this is because manufacturers could get away with using food thats either out of date or past there best.
the eu do make stupid rules on whats allowed and whats not allowed tho.

I'll spoil the fun..
I used to work in McDonalds
The meat is 100% meat, it comes frozen and it gets put under a grill which makes it flat as a pancake and drains all the fat out
As for the bun, the bun is not 'bread' lol

btw when it says its 100% meat that doesnt mean that its just 100% meat that the burgers are made of.
what that actually means is the meat that is in the burger IS 100% meat. when you look at a products label of ingrediants it lists everything that is in it.
Example
My dad has his own butchers shop that i worked in for 4 years and learned loads of thing while there.
His beef burgers are made with pure beef which has a 2% fat content. this is called 98% vl (visual lean). after the meat is minced once the seasoning is added and then mixed and a slight touch of water aboit 10ml if that to bring out the seasonings colour. then minced again.
Now after this process is done the prduct now has a meat content of around 84%. this is due to the rules set by the food standards agency etc which requires all the ingrediants used to be broken down in to percentages to give an overall meat content.
there is a set way to calculate this but its hard to explain in writing without actually having the figures in front of me.
Hope this helps people to understand what meat content figures mean :D
in all 100% pure beef means the beef used that is in the burgers is 100% pure beef :y:

But anyway does anyone no why they put gerkins on bigmacs ?
we had to do a thing in buisness were wer got to go to a private mcdonals franchise and we were told that ther is so much sugar in a Mcdonalds bun that it would have to be sold as a desert without the gerkins...
and apprently the 100% meat thing was on a program, its called 100% meat because thats the name of the companie that suplie not because it actualy is, 100% meat
