does any body use the white ones? i've seen some at halfords for a ridiculous price and it says on the back of the packaging for off road use only. Fair enough if they are green or red or blue, but surely white would be ok? Has any1 had any troubles with them?

I have blue ones, but when I never just have sidelights on, always main bulbs on aswell which make them white/blue, HID wanna be style ;)
Also I had the quad LED ones, found they didnt last very long at all, so I went back to the singular style LED and fingers crossed 3 weeks on they're still working fine..
The effect:

theres a lot more to car lights than just a bulb
its complicated.. thats why just buying HID bulbs is illegal.. unless you have everything to do with the light re-designed to suit your car

yeah i'm just talking about the led 501 side light bulbs. Not the illegal headlight bulbs. I've currently got halfords laser blue 501 bulbs and they are really dull and yellow when on and i was just after something whites. Cheers guys

Im not sure whether to get blue, which looks better with main beams on and chavy with just sidelights on, or whether to get white ones, which look good when you have just sidelights on.
Do blue look crap when theyre on by themselves?

Whilst we are on the subject I want to replace the 2 bulbs in my Angel Eyes with bright white xenon bulbs. Anyone know which ones they are there are loads on Ebay all with a type such as H1, H4 etc and are available in different wattage. I don't want HID bulbs as I know they have been known to crack the plastic on Angel Eyes. Can anyone help?
Thanks

i've got the white led ones in my car, passed mot no problem and i've been told by a traffic cop that its not a problem using led sidelights as long as they are white and not blue.
audi re-designing the headlights to allow for led sidelights is not true. go and look at one closely, its just leds.
the reason hids aren't legal in every car is that they have to auto level themselves. If its an aftermarket kit, they won't automatically level.
