Last weekend was the staff party and my mate had a bust up with one of the other employes. And was wandering if he will keep his job. He said he might but its his first time in trouble so they might just warn him, but i said expect the worst..

So what happened..Other lad pushes him into a table, he decides to lose it outside and waits for the lad to come outside at the end of the party. So..party finished and he goes and smacks the lad they then have a bust-up (headlocks gallore:A:) and it gets split up..They both go there own ways.

But now the manager is involved..I know both the lads and i personally think its the booze making them react like it.

Oh and forgot to add that the other lad thretended to stab a few people then said the day after didnt remember a thing:fcuk:
And my mate "said" the other lad hit him first outside..when he didnt:wall:

I was jsut wandering what you thought and had and ideas how he can get out of it. lol

if its a staff party organised by the boss(s), you are still representing the company, so should act like you would at work

will probs both get fired or a right good rollocking for making the company look bad..

im guessing fired, violence = gross misconduct, sackable without warning

if "work" didnt pay for the party then i dont think its sacable offence

but actully i think if basically work wasnt paying I.E you wasnt on the clock so to speak your not at work so i dont think they can sack some one for that behavior out side the work place .. if it carrys on in side work then thats when the boss gets in volved

i got very pissed my last employee's work party .. made a fool of my self and got a bit vialont didnt actully hit any one but they just said to me that i wouldnt be invited to any after work social events again that involved booze

"Bringing the company's reputation into disrepute."

Yes, they can be sacked.
