iv got a set of 205 gti alloys and want to spray the rim, thinking of chrome but iv been told it dont shine and looks total n utter crap. has anyone else found this? or is there a certain make of spray that does shine? im talking about arosol spray.

Some of the stuff you can buy looks ok, only problem with it is it flakes easily, if you lacquer it it will go a dull silver/grey colour too, wouldnt chance it on wheels tbh.

if you want to chrome your wheels mate speak to pred he has chrome vtr alloys:)

the wheels are gloss black and i thought that a little chrome rim would look nice, or what colour would you all say if i cant go chrome? its a posi blue vtr.

Just polish the rim up mate, plenty of elbow grease and wet and dry and polish and polishing pads.

they are gloss black tho? i want something on them so they are bright and not dull, they just look matt black at the moment. posi blue rim??

preds wheels are imense! how the hell did he manage to get them like that! they look like chrome.

they are dirty thats why they look matt black.

polishing is a pain but well worth it

id love to see a set of 205 speedlines polished up

are they for the car in your pic mate...?

id say gloss black with a sky blue rim would look the titssssssss

they arnt the speedline ones they are the gti 1.6 alloys. if its a vtr in my pic its got the standard vtr alloys on it. i cant see my own pic? strange. yeh anyway i just want to have abit of brightness on the wheels.

it doesnt look chrome and everyone can tell its just a spray, it will flake off like said and is very sensitive to any other chemicals, smallest bit of brake fluid of laquer or anything and it literally turns back to liquid form, chrome spray paint is naff, please dont wast your money. get them powdercouthed white i think would look good on that colour of our car. but if you havnt got the money stock up on some rattle cans and lots of laquer and spend your time doing it that way, ive seen some good examples done that way befour. thins coats and plenty of time remember.
